Pacer is a next-level anti-gravity combat racer paying homage to the past while bringing a contemporary edge to the genre. Being a fan of the genre, it was exciting to be tasked with building the key visual for this title. The goal was to deliver an image that conveyed the high-speed combat nature of the game and used to promote the release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The Process
Pacer is a game about skill and adrenaline-packed anti-gravity racing. In developing the key art, the first stage was to explore different compositions and scenarios of the craft in action until we found the basis for an image that would deliver this promise to the player. The final image was created using supplied 3D game assets that were composed, re-textured and lit in the scene before being rendered and composited with added effects and colour grading.
