Marvel Move

CLIENT: SIX to start | AGENCY: 20ten
 

Marvel Move is a new interactive fitness app from the co-creators of Zombies, Run! Marvel Move transforms your workout into an epic adventure with thrilling, immersive audio.

After a successful pre-order initiative, Six to Start needed a key visual to support their summer launch campaign and tasked 20ten with the Challenge. As lead creative and Art Director on the project, it was my role to deliver an exciting campaign image that unites the Marvel universe to the world of running.

The Process

We knew from the start that we wanted to merge the Marvel universe with the world of running in an exciting and relatable way. After exploring concepts (sketches by wouwouandthewormling), we landed on a route that best communicated Marvel Move as an audio fitness adventure that is tailored for runners and is filled with their favourite Marvel heroes.

Working with photographer Danny Bird and Tapestry, we captured a dynamic running pose that blends lifestyle with cinematic aesthetics. It was important that the Marvel characters felt connected to the runner’s headphones and gave the feeling that they were enhancing their running experience. We used the concept of ‘Story shards’ to convey the idea of choice and act as holding devices for each character.
